Who We Are
We are a class at Inspire School of Arts and Sciences, that is committed to the practice of environmental sustainability and water conservation practices. We are holding school wide presentations to educate our students, as well as an outreach to other schools in Chico. Our goal is to raise awareness and effect a positive change in our community.
Our school-wide presentation will reach all grade levels at our school. We will be teaching students what grey water is and how to collect and use it in their homes. We are raising funds to put on this presentation through Go Fund Me and through partnerships with local organizations.
The water conservation presentations we will be giving are part of a competition held by PG&E and We Share Solar. Our class will be building solar suitcases that will be going to Kenyan schools and orphanages to provide electricity, and the schools with the best community service sustainability project will be sending representatives to deliver these solar suitcases.
